Former landfill
The area in Gompel, a community in the municipality of Mol, forms an ecological connection to the Rijsbergdijk in Balen. There used to be a factory dumping ground here, but thanks in part tot he firm Glaverbel, this area could be upgraded.

The role of Kempens Landschap
In 2003, our organisation bought 8 hectares 27 ares 49 centiares of this former factory site.
