Here you will find open inland dunes and forests with Scots and Corsican pine. There is also a forest playground where children can fully enjoy the natural surroundings. After World War Two, the area acquired religious significance, as attested by the Lourdes grotto, the crucifix and the stations of the cross.

The role of Kempens Landschap

Our organisation purchased this domain in 2002-2003 in order to restore both the forest and the cultural-historical heritage. In 2005, new stations of the cross in French Savonnière sandstone were added. In addition, part of the forest was allocated as a playground.
